PM_TEN has integrated FlashNet into its advanced numerical models, an innovative lightning‑formation forecasting system based on artificial intelligence algorithms.

Developed by the Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering (DICCA) at the University of Genoa, FlashNet is a concrete example of how scientific research can evolve into operational tools that support prevention and territorial safety.

After being tested within the FESR BIVIOS project, FlashNet is now fully operative within PM_TEN’s meteorological forecasting systems. Thanks to its ability to combine traditional algorithms with artificial intelligence techniques, the system enables:
